Staff Adopts a Local Family for Christmas
Millions of children in America go without Christmas gifts because their parents simply cannot afford them. Financial and emotional stress dampen the Christmas cheer. A single mother with six children from Miamisburg was one of the many families facing this same distress. That was until Graceworks at Home stepped in! The family has a personal connection to Graceworks. The mother is too humble to ask for help, but our employees knew the family would not have Christmas this year due to an unexpected financial crisis. What little money they did have would have to go toward groceries.
During their annual holiday celebration, Graceworks at Home staff and their families were encouraged to bring a donation for the Miamisburg family. Everyone was very generous and giving! A van packed full of gifts including two bicycles, winter coats, gloves, hats, clothes and toys was taken to the family. The mother sent a beautiful thank you card saying all seven of them cried tears of happiness when they received their unexpected gifts. The family had a wonderful Christmas because of the thoughtful and caring staff of Graceworks at Home!
